Sensor Fusion Group Leader
In the Continental ADAS Budapest Artificial Intelligence Competence Centre, we are creating the next generation of software solutions to power safety-critical systems and enable autonomous driving features in new vehicles around the globe. We are working towards Vision Zero, a goal to eliminate thousands of fatal accidents happening every day on the world’s roads. Our aim is to develop cutting edge techniques that sense and understand the vehicle environment.
We are looking for creative minds who are passionate to shape the future of autonomous driving and to bring world class perception solutions into our camera products: forward looking cameras, surround view cameras, high resolution 3D flash lidar, and sensor fusion systems.
Build and lead an engineering group specialized in world perception, sensor fusion and comprehensive environmental modelling for automated and autonomous driving products
Hire, mentor, coach and develop employees, support professional and personal growth, provide feedback and training
Establish the group structure and the engineering processes that ensure high-quality software deliveries on time aligned with product roadmaps and milestones
Elaborate and implement the technology strategy for comprehensive environmental modelling, contribute to definition of product development roadmaps, delivery cycles and content of deliveries
Enable the group to engage in effective project work as part of local and international cross-functional teams, promote the adoption of agile practices in the development workflow
Provide guidance to team leaders and senior engineers in decisions concerning software development, the choice of environmental modelling and sensor fusion algorithms, best practices and methodologies
Work closely with partner groups, departments and stakeholders across the company, proactively seek understanding of priorities, adopt to changing circumstances
Communicate inside the organization about technologies, challenges, development status and the achievements of the group, represent us on external events
Coordinate intellectual property activities and patenting
University degree (MSc or PhD) in a relevant engineering field such as computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering or similar
Experience leading a technical team of 5-10 people
8-10 years of experience in software development and architectures, knowledge of industry-standard development practices, tools and methods
Experience with algorithm development in the area of sensor fusion, environmental modelling, complex scene understanding, perception or related automotive use cases
Knowledge of relevant programming languages (C++, Matlab, Simulink)
Excellent command of English, spoken and written
Determined, goal-oriented personality and open-minded attitude
Experience working according to SAFe (scaled agile framework)
