Job Description

This position will be responsible for Controls Engineering for industrial machines in the plant.

This includes, but is not limited to: HMI on CNC machines, PLC's, vision systems, robotics, Data management (OPC, databases, reporting visualizations), and will also have responsibility for the specification, installation and launch of new equipment from a controls responsible perspective.

This position will also be responsible for working with maintenance to assist in machine troubleshooting and repair. May also be required to train maintenance as necessary.

Once new equipment has started production, the engineering specialist will be responsible for continuous improvement of equipment to improve scrap rate, cycle time, and operational performance.

The setup of preventative maintenance and spare parts will be the responsibility of the engineering specialist.

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications

4 year engineering degree, or 2 year Associates Degree with 5 years related experience

Strong knowledge of PLC's, Human Machine interfaces (HMI), and data management.

Strong problem solving and communication skills

Experience in a high volume manufacturing environment
