ContiTech develops and produces functional parts, components, and systems for machine and plant engineering, mining, the automotive industry, and other important industries. Our Fairlawn, OH location is seeking an eCommerce Commercial Manager to join our team.

The eCommerce Commercial Manager is responsible for developing, prioritizing, and driving implementation of the North American portions of the global eCommerce strategy. The primary focus being on the Customer and Channel development for growth for sales and online presence/reach for both B2B and B2C.


• In conjunction with the Industrial Field Sales Leadership, Business Unit Teams and SCM will develop, manage, and execute a comprehensive eCommerce strategy that supports and brings innovation to current channels and simultaneously aggressively grows our effectiveness and presence for other ecommerce platforms. Philosophy of “Make what we got better and figure out where we want to be …".

• Generate and implement eCommerce strategies to ensure online experience is fully integrated and optimized for customer shopping preferences.

• Focus will be on North America to design a best fit approach of our Regional business while aligning closely with overall global systems, standards and thinking.

• Works closely with Sales, Marketing, Digital Solutions and Customer Service to ensure the best possible customer experience by promoting an industry leading multi-channel commerce experience.

• The role will dovetail the commercial eCommerce strategy with the IT/technical development efforts. This is a Customer Experience advancement position not an IT/software implementation function.

• B2C. Evaluate the effectiveness of the channels in which we operate today and where we should be tomorrow. All in the effort to maximize our market share, increase margins and balance our efforts with our traditional Distribution Channels.

• B2B. Primary goal is to make our EPIX NG best in class within our industry for the Customer Self-Serve Experience. This will be accomplished by benchmarking the competitive sites and industry marketplaces. Then marrying those insights with specific CTS Distributor Network VOC and new innovations.

• Actively exchange lessons learned and best practices and support central activities allowing ContiTech to scale its eCommerce solutions globally.

• Data management. Will assure that Conti stays abreast and becomes a leader in PIM management strategy for all our eCommerce Customers; ensure alignment of BU product data management strategies with digital capabilities.

• Stay current with digital trends, new technology solutions, competitive strategies. Actively seek and analyze the market for new trends and developments in eCommerce and develop new eCommerce models.

Job Requirements


• Bachelor’s Degree is required.

• 7+ years of experience in e-commerce product management.

• Minimum 3 years of project management experience.

• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience.

• Experience in Marketing B2B, B2C and marketplaces.

• 3 year of strategic development planning and implementation.


• 1 or more years of international experience is preferred.

• Prior experience in e-commerce product management preferably in B2B.
