Advanced Development Engineer Plastics Materials (m/f/diverse)
We are currently looking for two Advanced Development Engineers Plastics Materials (m/f/diverse) for our location in Hamburg. The positions can also be staffed in Hann. Münden.
In this role you are in charge of the following tasks:
Development of new plastics materials from internal and external sources as basis for product development to ensure technology leadership of MFS in the area of plastics components for mobile fluid lines
Constant progression of our specifications in materials to improve the product-usage for our application engineers to internal and external customers
Transform product requirements into material requirements and specifications for internal and external suppliers
Organize and perform material releases (internal and at the customer)
Drive activities to standardize and establish master specifications
Support material analysis of field damage parts with focus on plastics
Update specifications, guidelines and lessons learned to constantly have latest information
Follow market on technical development
Technical cooperation with our material suppliers to support new developments and cost improvements
Presentation of projects internally and externally, also at the customer
Interface to series process development in the plants worldwide
Master/Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Polymer Materials Science, Chemistry or Material Science
Several years of job experience in the area of development of plastics materials, products and/or processes
Profound knowledge in plastics materials technology and compounding
Experience in development project work and application of according tools
Professional communication to internal and external stakeholders on different levels
Good handling with MS Office software
Good German and English language skills written and spoken
Ability and willingness to learn and grow and to work in an international team
Self-driven, proactive work style
Willingness for (inter-)national business trips 10 – 15%
