Global Allocation Manager



Job Description

  • Ensure that Continental requirements are prioritized by the supplier

  • Ensure that the allocation process is applied by all parties involved

  • Creation, maintenance and use of the allocation data basis for the effective and efficient use of production capacity

  • Reporting and data analysis using SAP BW, ECDM systems, etc.

  • Organization and moderation of telephone conferences with everyone involved

  • Interface between the affected Continental plants and the supplier, for the optimal distribution of the raw material to the affected locations (fair share)

  • Allocation of the available raw material, in close coordination with the supplier, if the sufficient supply of all plants cannot be guaranteed

  • Development of tools and definition of preventive measures to avoid production linedowns due to material availability

  • Use of SAP / ERP systems to analyze material requirements and preferred suppliers (possible second suppliers) of the locations worldwide. Monitoring of the agreed planning and corresponding evaluation of the available supplier capacity

  • Cooperation with purchasing and the factories, e.g. to optimize replenishment times in order to ensure the timely implementation of the production plans

  • Contact person for all escalations from the plants due to raw material bottlenecks

  • Responsible for the instruction and supervision of premium freight, such as express deliveries, personal deliveries, charter, etc. Job Requirements

  • Academic degree in economics, industrial engineering, information logistics or comparable studies with a focus on supply chain management

  • Professional experience in automotive industry preferred

  • Good project management skills

  • Good MS Office and SAP BW knowledge

  • Fluent English and very good knowledge of German
