Job Description

  • Responsible for the defined parts, services, commodities and suppliers;

  • Offers support concerning specific quality items over all locations, cross divisional and over all business units;

  • Responsible to maintain the defined Supplier Quality Management System (procedures, guidelines and tools), to ensure the requested quality;

  • Contributes to plan and to conduct supplier evaluations, assessments and audits to support the cross-functional supplier selection team with the required quality data;

  • Contributes to sourcing decisions to ensure that the supplier will be selected according to quality strategies;

  • Responsible to plan, initiate and control preventive orientated, advanced quality management measures in the design / development phase (supplier APQP) for medium to high complexity supplied parts and services (Feasibility Commitment, Project Reviews, Run & Rate, Safe Launch Concept, Quality Control Plan etc.), to ensure that our products meet the defined quality requirements;

  • Responsible to plan, initiate, implement and control the appropriate supplier quality assurance measures along the complete process chain for all supplied goods and services, in his area of responsibility, to continuously observe the quality performance of the supplier;

  • Responsible to lead and drive supplier improvement programs;

  • Responsible to drive root cause analysis and force the definition and implementation of appropriate counter measurements at the supplier to ensure that the parts and services meet the defined quality requirements;

  • Responsible to use and support the data system to collect and evaluate supplier quality related key process indicators (KPI's) and issue periodical quality performance reports and ensure that appropriate improvement actions are initiated;

  • Responsible to define targets and control measures with the supplier to be able to support the quality targets;

  • Responsible for continuous tracking of the target setting and plan fulfillment (monitoring, analysis control) in the context of Supplier Quality Management System;

  • Responsible to coordinate collection of the supplier related NCC and provide technical expertise to the buyer for negotiation with the supplier;

  • Responsible to plan, initiate and maintain a cross location and divisional expert network to support the supplier improvement and to maintain the technology and experience exchange;

  • Responsible for continuous improvement process of all supplier quality related processes, guidelines and tools by internal audits, on site assessments, benchmarking and best practice sharing programs;

  • Contributes to identify and evaluate technological trends in collaboration with Advanced Purchasing to maintain the competitiveness of our products;

  • Responsible for training and mentoring plans.

  • Responsible for organizing and leading management meeting on the supplier side. Job Requirements

  • Academic degree in engineering, economics or comparable;

  • Professional experience in the above-mentioned area;

  • Professional experience with Quality Planning (IATF 16949, VDA6.3 Audit, GQA incl. CQR), Quality Control (SPC, 5S) and Quality Tools;

  • Problem Solving (8D, Step-Down Plan, Problem & decision analysis);

  • Experience in Management & Coordination of Suppliers;

  • Technical knowledge of production process;

  • Fluent English language skills (spoken and written);

  • Communication Skills (Networking with international partners, conflict management, self-evaluation and communication in the executive function).
