Job Description

Operations:

  1. Ensures the production and testing of customer specific products on time with the right quality and cost:
  • Planning and controlling of costs vs budget;

  • Planning and controlling of resources (equipment, people, material); reduce production expenses by optimizing material management method and machine maintenance level;

  • Supports change management implementation in WS (organization, processes);

  • Supports strategies to increase productivity/process efficiency and continuous improvement within FF parameter (Lean);

  • Drive ESH activity in workplace following the regulation and safety standard to maintain a safety environment and reduce sick leave rate;

  • Monitor of Line Information Boards (LIB) and deviation management. Leading corrective actions to systemic issues. Quality & Non-Conformance Management: 1. Ensures the quality of processes and products in order to fulfill internal and customer targets:

  • Implements Zero Defect approach;

  • Ensure the disposition of the non-conforming parts;

  • Analysis of internal rejects countermeasures for internal rejects with functional support of Quality;

  • Supports Internal and external Audits;

  • Drive implementation of JIDOKA; promotes quality culture;

  • Reduce quality cost by improve operator's quality sense.Standard/ Procedures application: 1. Supports and coach the implementation of the company and the plant standards (e.g. ESD guideline, technical cleanliness, 5S, JIDOKA). Leader Standard Work CA 0608238: 1. Execute Production Manager routines (incl. LPA, Gemba walk, Production/FF Team meetings);2. Execute LSW Routines and discusses with the next management level upon problems and/or deviations in routine fulfilment;3. Identify systematic failures and initiate Problem Solving measures;4. Ensure the proper execution of "Problem Solving". KPI management: 1. Coordination, support and coaching of the Shift Leader in order to achieve the targets for internal production KPI (PPM, Scrap Rate, OEEm ,Rejection Rate, FPY, etc.);2. Performs deviation management to react on abnormalities of targets for Safety e.g. incidents; Quality e.g. FPY, PPM, Rejection rate; Productivity e.g. OEE, line output; Cost: Scrap;3. Ensure data are updated in the frequency as required in the LIB;4. Participates and generates cross functional meetings in case deviations on KPIs;5. Trigger the support function or apply the escalation plan when ever needed to reach the targets; 6. Ensure that follow-up measures are defined and executed.Follow up Production schedule: 1. Ensures the deliveries according to customers call-offs and in general contributes to the achievement of logistics goals according to internal and external customer expectations;2. Drive the implementation of programs and initiatives to minimize logistics cost and optimize inventories;3. In charge of WIP and Delivery Performance;4. Ensure corrective actions are defined and executed properly related to deviations to the production schedule. Continuous improvement process: 1. Ensures continuous improvements on a daily basis:

  • Drive lean activity and CBS project implementation in shop floor;

  • Responsible for improvement of visualization management.Safety & ergonomics 1. Ensure that the ESH rules are followed and measures are correctly executed. Leading & Steering People 1. Coordinates human resources of the areas in charge:

  • Monthly and annual headcount forecast;

  • Leading the area and enhance its development, as well as to ensure results (efficiency, quality), applying human relations processes that drive people performance and planning;

  • Design strategy to improve productivity in the area of responsibility within the established safety, quality, productivity and cost metrics;

  • Supports, teaches and coaches the team to further develop the organization. Interface Management 1. Ensures efficient communication with related stakeholders:

  • To ensure communication flow with related functions in the plant;

  • To enable and be promoter of the quality culture;

  • Participates and contributes in the different meetings organized to support the Production and Quality System. Some examples are: Production Meeting, Gembas.New Product Launch Management/ Serial launch Management: 1. Supervise, support and control in case of new product launches (launch of new manufacturing lines, Process capabilities, PPAPs, capacity planning) to ensure a safe launch and ramp up (Pre-series/Trial runs/C-Samples);2. Ensure that the Change Management system is working properly according to standards" shared. CBS 1. Ensures application of CBS principles and methods in new launches and serial production:

  • Responsible for continuous improvement and implementation of LEAN principles in day-to-day business. Maintenance: 1. Ensures capable processes and equipment (e.g. Cpk, FPY, OEE):

  • Maintenance of all equipment: Trouble shooting; Short-term inspections of equipment; Continuous care of the equipment; Preventive maintenance. Job Requirements

  • University degree in a relevant Engineering field (i.e.: Electronics, Computer Science, Automatics);

  • Professional Experience: 2-3 years relevant experience in electronic test engineering, preferably in automotive electronic products is a plus;

  • Leadership Experience: At least 2-3 years in a leadership position/and or coaching teams, preferably in operational units with direct and indirect responsibility for other individuals;

  • Project and/or Process Experience

  • Experience in production engineering testing: Programming / Electronics / Vision professional knowledge (Continental automotive standards);

  • Experience with Automotive Quality standards;

  • Cyber security knowledge is an advantage;

  • Experience in working with international teams;

  • Knowledge of Manufacturing related technologies, systems, infrastructures, standards and processes;

  • Knowledge of Lean Production principles, methods and tools (e.g. CA.PS);

  • Knowledge of Automotive System components and technologies;

  • Product and System Knowledge (Functionalities and Applications, MS, Office, Lotus Notes, Sametime, Netmeeting);

  • Logistics Management (including Logistics policies, systems and processes);

  • Quality Management (including Quality policies, systems and processes, Q.BIC);

  • Management skills, tools and techniques (Balanced Scorecard, Benchmarking, Finance for non financers);

  • Human relations skills (team skills, conflict management, open-mindedness, networking, coaching and feedback techniques);

  • Communication skills, including Presentation and Negotiation techniques;

  • Advanced English;
