Job Description

Supervision and control of capital industrialization equipment projects relating to warehousing automated storage and retrieval systems and AGVs. Responsible for industrialization of equipment from capital request creation through design acceptance, fabrication, pre-acceptance, final acceptance and start of production. Also, onsite support of automated warehousing equipment during production.

Essential Functions: Assure proper function of process of all equipment in the project. Develop, publish and maintain current specifications project changeover instructions (protocols). Ensure SAP and equipment software are communicating properly. Insure inventory transactions are complete, timely, and accurate. Train all Maintenance and Supply Chain personnel in proper equipment functions and SAP interface. Assure that spare parts are stocked to assure minimum downtime. Assist Maintenance startup of assigned production line. Assist in troubleshooting and repairs during downtime events.

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other technical discipline.

  • 2 years manufacturing experience in a highly automated facility

  • Strong background in material flow and warehouse processes.

  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems like SAP, Oracle...

  • Knowledge of PLC programming.

  • Ability to manage projects and coordinate installation of new equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years’ manufacturing experience with a degree

  • PLC programming experience

  • Communicate succinctly major systems issues and solution to multiple disciplines (supply chain staff, plant manager, equipment manufacturer, maintenances staff)

  • Ability to train and direct personnel

  • Proficient at project management

  • Knowledgeable in material flow processes in an industrial environment

  • SAP knowledge in IM/WM modules and interfaces with outside software

Position requires company cell phone and ability to support 24/7 operations.
