Mechanical Project Manager



Job Description

  • Responsible for technical solutions, performing technical development activities within the project(Architect, Discipline Project Leader, Function Responsible, Technical Expert etc.)

  • Responsible for RFQ for new/existing project

  • Responsible for Design and Architecture for new/existing project

  • Assign tasks to team members, according to their internal function, competences and capabilities, with the involvement of the direct superior when necessary, in order to increase team performance

  • Organizes regular team meetings in order to communicate administrative topics and project related information

  • Responsible to facilitate knowledge sharing at team level

Job Requirements

  • Candidate must posses at least a University Degree / Master in Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline with 5+ years exterience in mechanical development

  • Have at least 2 years of experience in Project management methods/tools

  • Have executed 2 or more projects as mechanical project manage

  • Good knowledge of mechanical development and automotive technologies

  • Possess knowledge of DRBFM, DFMEA, FTA, A3 problem solving & other failure analysis tools

  • Experience in CAD & model development tools (PRO-E CREO, CATIA V5, etc.)

  • Possess design knowledge for plastic and metal parts, strong knowledge of design mechanism and tolerance stack up analysis

  • Possess knowledge of secondary processes (i.e. laser cutting, plating, vacuum metallization, in-mould decoration, painting, hot stamping, silk screen, tampo printing, etc.)

  • Customer-oriented and committed to work systematically under tight schedules

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Willing to travel overseas for training and/or projects on short notice

  • Experience working for Japanese / Korean customers would be an added advantage
