To lead the optical development in R&D Continental projects into the business unit HMI.
Responsible for the Optical System Development of Interior Automotive Solutions (Cluster, FDC, Center Display, etc.)
Define backlight technology and design
Definition of light sources
Definition of optical stacks
Optical Simulations and designs.- Optical Metrology of Illumination components (LEDs, backlights, telltales, etc.)
Backlight function development and qualification.
Be the interface with architects and designers to contribute in the development of Interior solutions
Supports Manufacturing Production
Degree in electronics, mechatronic or similar engineering, preferable master degree
Experience in Optical Design and Simulation
Experience in automotive industry.
Knowledge of CAD Optical Modelling/Design Software (Zemax, SPEOS, MatLab)
Knowledge in driving illumination concepts. (LED Drivers, LEDs, backlights drivers)
Knowledge in display optical performance
Knowledge in mechanical concepts
Basic knowledge in display technologies (TFT, OLEDs, IPS, TN, etc...)
Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work across multiple disciplines. (Mechanical, Systems, Hardware)
Advanced English skills written and spoken
