Technical Project Leader

The TPL is the technical responsible of a project that is developed and produced in different regions. His/Her functions are performed during the PLC (product life cycle). He/She represents and coordinates the R&D function within the project team as needed. He/She leads Systems Engineering Roles and Sub Project Managers from all engineering and is the interface between Customers, Project Managers, R&D management, Segment management and manufacturing.
Lead and coordinate the technical development team, which is conformed of different engineering discipline teams, including software, electrical, mechanical, optical, and systems engineering.
Ensure successful execution of all tasks of product development within the scope of the functional quality, time and cost objectives as agreed with the customer
Prepare and maintain detailed technical project plans in alignment with project manager and engineering disciplines.
Support the definition of technical concepts
Coordinate technical quotations by estimating R&D efforts and material costs.
Monitor and control engineering budget, development milestones, deliverables and resources
Lead technical risk assessments and implement lessons learned / best practices
Support project status reporting with complete R&D inputs
Provide input for technical product strategy
Act as technical interface towards customers
Academical degree in electrical engineering or similar
Several years of experience in leading R&D projects in the automotive sector
Knowledge of the PLC and all technical departments like SW, HW, Systems engineering involved
Very good project management skills and leading skills
Advanced English Skills
