Job Description

Overview

The Technical Project Leader is responsible for the successful execution of all tasks of product development, design and testing and represents the engineering department (R&D) within the Project core team; his main goal is to achieve the technical project objectives within the scope of time, cost and quality aspects.

Core Responsibilities

Plan and control the activities of the development disciplines within the development project (EE, SW, ME, SYS, VV, RE, CM).

Interface to customer and core team as the technical development responsible.

Issue control & tracking. Coordinate the technical problems solution.

Define system architecture and decompose to discipline, together with discipline architects (or experts).

Engineering changes coordination from quotation to implementation and validation.

Additional Responsibilities

Quotes creation support. Requirements analysis, integration of the TPD (Technical Product Description).

Clarify unclear requirements with the customer / stakeholder.

Responsible of integrating and maintaining the PTS (Product Test Specification) for manufacturing.

Collaborate with the PM on project business case for DTC (Design to Cost) activities.

Perform risk management for the technical development project.

Engineering samples maturity definition, sample build and control.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, SW Engineering or similar.

Experience within an automotive development area: 4 – 6 years.

Strong technical competency and problem solving skills.

English level: Advanced, solid written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Technical leadership experience within R&D area.

Know ­how in requirements engineering methods and tools (e.g. DOORS)

Continental Product Life Cycle experience.

Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities.

Ability to lead individuals and teams without direct authority.

Highly motivated and self driven, ability to work with minimal supervision.
