Software Architecture Engineer
Be part of the Vehicle Dynamics (VED) Software group at Continental Queretaro and participate to the creation of our MK1xx and MKCx products: the Brake systems used in conventional, electric and autonomous cars of today and tomorrow.
Our ECU is the main Chassis controller and provides functions to control the vehicle dynamics as the car trajectory (ABS, ACC, AYC, HSA, IPB, TCS...) for global car manufacturers in America (USA, Mexico, Brazil).
In VED Software, you will have the opportunity to practice the benchmark tools of our Automotive development and the state-of-the-art methods for Software development environment using AUTOSAR, Enterprise Architect, GIT tools...
You will be joining an international team and be guided by experienced engineers into the different phases of SW architecture: requirements analysis, resource estimation, architecture alignment.
You might touch Multicore topics, CyberSecurity and update Over-The-Air (OTA) concepts, also runtime optimization challenges in collaboration with the worldwide network of VED colleagues.
Your main tasks:
Collect the requirements addressed by Customer or Functions/Systems engineering level to Software engineering level and analyze them considering the Software architecture and Software development standards
Select the appropriate Software architecture to meet the functional and non-functional requirements
Align with the different Software component stakeholders and create specific architecture for the new features
Create the runtime analysis and code size estimation at project start and monitor it during the project execution
Coordinate implementation of complex workpackages that involve multiple engineers or mid-sized projects in different locations
Document all work results according to the process in place (corresponding to ASPICE SWE.1/SWE.2)
Develop and improve on existing testing methods, tools and procedures
Bachelor's degree in an engineering field (computer science, electronics, mechatronics)
3+ years experience in software engineering
Autosar, Automotive Spice concepts, ISO 26262
MCU architecture (Performance optimization)
Experience with Software requirements handling
Automotive SW development Tools and Methods (V-Model Software Development Process)
Agile and Scrum methodology
Embedded C / Algorithm scripting
5+ years experience in Automotive software development
IBM Jazz / Doors / Enterprise Architect / GIT / GITHUB experience
MBSE Model Based Systems Engineering and change propagation
Vehicle network communication / CyberSecurity concepts
Real time operating system
Planning, presentation and communication skills (English)
