Job Description

As Area Sales Manager your objective will be to maximise sales across the ContiTech portfolio of products and services.

You will be responsible for achieving business targets and continuously track and manage the service performance levels.

The role represents the regional business to all stakeholders, customers, industry associations, international trading groups, government agencies, and similar groups in order to secure the interests of Segment and Business Units to include the wider ContiTech group.

The role will also be responsible for Industrial sales management for PTG UK & Ireland.

The role will be homebased.

Responsibilities

  • Implementation of the sales strategy in line with the wider business unit.

  • Develops and maintains strategic and cooperative relationship with customers to support the segment strategy.

  • Assure standards and quality guidelines (internal and external), quality awareness, customer quality targets.

  • Leading the business to achieve budget and other planned financial and non-financial KPI's.

  • Represent ContiTech PTG / ContiTech / Continental AG at customer events.

  • Responsibility for customer acquisition; managing contracts/ business proposals.

  • Commercial negotiation in alignment with segment strategy.

  • Ensures close customer relation management within boundaries set by compliance.

  • Responsible for the analysis of the market trends and environment; analysis of sales, turnover & contribution margin.

  • Review and evaluation of business results and implementation of needed organisation changes. Job Requirements Qualifications, Experience & Behaviours

  • Engineering Qualification (Minimum level ONC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent) an advantage.

  • Proven ability in sales of power transmission belts or related products.

  • Proven commercial skills.

  • Demonstrates sound interpersonal skills when communicating with customers and colleagues at all levels and constantly strives for self-development to become more proficient
