The mission of the Senior System Architect is to deliver a system architecture incl. functional safety- and security & privacy concept that meets internal or external specified requirements, quality and timescale, following the defined process in a complex organizational/technical environment. Therefore. the system architect moderates and drives
a) requirements analysis with customer,
b) customer architecture consultancy,
c) technical decisions, targeting on a best fit system architecture concept considering existing solution, strive for reuse and ensure integrity of existing platforms.
Develop System Architecture, design/ create a high-level HW/SW solution.
Evaluate alternative System architectures.
Establish bidirectional traceability from System Architecture to functional/ non-functional system requirements and ensure consistency.
Identify risks and opportunities on system level, particularly rgd. dimensioning like processing/ memory capacity, communication bandwidth, etc.,
Analyze System Requirements together with customer and bias requirements towards Continental solutions.
Customer architecture consultancy in an early phase (frontloading).
Definition and documentation of high-level interfaces.
Define deployment of high-level function blocks to HW (e.g. to HPCs, zone controllers, actuators).
Collaborate with other disciplines to document interfaces and dependencies (e.g. Software Architect).
Collaborate with Software Architect to minimize interfaces between loosely coupled components.
Document, communicate and ensure understanding of the System Architecture to stakeholder (e.g., SW Architect, System Tester, etc.).
Define the functional safety concept for the System.
Define the security concept for the System.
Review of related work products (e.g. software architecture documents, functional safety- and security documents).
Propose solutions for improvement in area of expertise and participate in workgroups.
Support the competence growth of other system architects by coaching and trainings.

AUTOSAR Classic/Adaptive (BSW/RTE, Configuration & Integration)
Single-/Multicore Architecture in Embedded systems
Embedded Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS, POSIX, QNX, VxWorks)
University degree in computer science or electrical/electronic engineering
4+ years working experience in automotive system engineering environment (or equivalent)
2+ years working experience in working in discipline relevant projects
3+ years working experience acting in a role for leading people in the respective engineering discipline (functional or disciplinary leadership)
Experiences in working in international teams and understanding for foreign cultures required
