Job Description

Advanced Purchasing

  1. Manages Material costs of the BU product:

  2. Calculate Bill¬of-Material (BOM) during acquisition phase

  3. Develop concepts of cost efficient design with R&D to enable customer award

  4. Design-to¬cost activities to achieve material cost committed during acquisition phase (PCIS)

  5. Involvement of suppliers at a very early point of time (ESI)

Sourcing Activities

  1. Perform and control the Sourcing Activities according to current Processes

  2. Perform Sourcing Activities according to Sourcing plan (in-time sourcing)

  3. Responsible to meet BOM cost before SOP

  4. Responsible for Supplier Tooling regarding Budget and Data Management Tooling database

Series Purchasing

  1. Support Supplier Material Budget (Shanghai) local material budget

  2. Control the supplier Management Processes

  3. Cost Reduction Program (CRP) for BU Project's after Sop

  4. Change Management and Series support (in case new supplier tooling is needed or in case that costs for components change due to technical/design changes).

Supplier Advanced Quality Planning

  1. Ensure that components are introduced according to project schedule and PLC requirements

  2. Drive Frontloading activities within BU and interface with Corporate SQM organization.

  3. Review Risk Analysis & mitigation plan regularly for all the new components product development phase with respective.

  4. Ensure that specific customer requirements are followed during component introduction

  5. Drive early involvement of suppliers along with engineering team for critical components towards ADAS Sensors & Autonomous Driving.

Supplier Quality Assurance

  1. Support Supplier Material Budget (Shanghai) local material budget

  2. Control the supplier Management Processes

  1. Manage Component Maturity and release them for respective projects over the PLC.

  2. Ensure in-time introduction of mechanics components within responsibility of BU (ME, SCR, APQP and PPAP) by team of SQM Component Introduction.

  3. Support BU-Q with customer meetings for SQM topics

  • plan and lead activities in case of quality alerts

  • provide overview about component status

Reporting

  1. Data management for AP and Purchasing/SQM reports

  2. Regional reports including defined KPI's

  • developing own problem solving scenarios in case of Project cost and Project timing risks
  1. Escalation in case of problems which cannot be solved on team level

Region China/Plant Shanghai

  1. Represents Purchasing in Asian Purchasing Meetings

  2. Represents ADAS towards Regional Purchasing organization

  3. Data management according to Purchasing and BU Purchasing KPI's and Goals

Acts as Head of a Purchasing and SQM team for Region China and Japan

  1. Coaches and develops the team and employees

  2. Individual Goals will be defined within HRD Dialogue considering Purchasing relevant and Asia relevant goals

  3. Actively supports the team and employees in case of problems

Controls the target achievement for the purchasing/SQM team

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree OR 7 years of relevant purchasing experience.

  2. 7 years of relevant purchasing and SQM experience

  3. Demonstrated advanced ability in leading a team, including conduction of negotiations, relationship mgmt., and contracts.

  4. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  5. Advanced experience in building relationships, experience managing in a diverse global environment and/or teams and possess emotional intelligence.

  6. MS Office -Expert level of professional expertise

  7. Develops solutions that others can use to improve work like spreadsheet templates, database formulas, basic macros and pivot tables. Can train Basic/Medium levels.
