Sales Manager



Job Description

Sales and Customer Relationship Management (Full responsibility)

  • Independent customer and market responsibility

  • Coordination of sales activities

  • Prospect for new distribution business and grow existing distribution and end user revenue

  • Identification of New Opportunities with product lines and markets

  • Customers visits to identify key customer decision makers

  • Understand respective distributor and end user needs to leverage customer centric offering using Continental value-add belting solutions

  • Strengthen and develop the relationship with the distributor's and distributors end customer as well as with end users directly

  • Joints call and conveyor inspections with Distributor and/or Distributors Customer

  • Train customers and distributors on value and solutions of Continental products

  • Consulting and product recommendations with support from Technical Consulting

  • Analyze and track product performance using Continental tools and completion of basic conveyor inspections and reports

  • Contract, Quote & Order Management

Sales & Commercial Planning (Full Responsibility)

  • Create customer Sales Plans / create customer strategy based on Segment targets/budget

  • Market & Competitor analysis

  • Develop EBIT & turnover forecast of existing customers

  • Monthly reporting of sales figures, FC, forecast etc.

  • Maintain CRM program with latest customer, quotation history, revenue and pricing information

  • Feedback on price trends & win-loss of orders to Line Manager and Pricing Team

Tactical Pricing (Shared responsibility)

  • Maintain accurate customer and competitor pricing information

  • Provide monthly feedback to pricing team for order Win/Loss, including related pricing levels

Marketing / Communication (Shared responsibility)

  • Organize promotional activities for the customer and distributor

  • Participate at exhibitions, manage new product launch & customer surveys

  • Work with Key Account managers to help promote sales of all products

Finance (Shared responsibility)

  • Support Budget definition process

  • Resolve payment delays or issues to reduce account receivable outstanding

Customer Services (Shared responsibility)

  • Support accurate data records in ERP (SAP)

  • Claim & complaint management

  • Monitor customer back orders

Job Requirements

Bachelors Degree with strong technical Aptitude or Engineering with strong commercial aspiration or equivalent.

2 to 4 years of Professional Experience: (Variety of Functions, Variety of Business, General Management Experience)

Experience in leading small projects within the own organization

Minimum 1 to 2 years of leadership experience

Cross functional experience:

Experience with working in international cooperation and teams
