Continental HR Intern in St. Marys, Ohio

The Human Relations Intern will directly assist the Human Relations Manager with a wide range of projects related to HR compliance, recruiting, onboarding/orientation, employee and community relations events. This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, the intern will learn how to take skills she or he may have acquired in school related to his or her areas of interest and apply them in a professional setting.
- To help the HR team with Talent Management and Organizational Development to include:
-posting job openings
-review potential candidates
-schedule interviews and testing
-preparing job offers
- Assisting with reporting of various HR KPIs to include:
-forced exit rates
-training completion rate
-various other KPIs that support HR initiatives
- To launch training activities in LMS platform which includes:
-creating new document training courses
-assigning document training to required employees
-alert required trainer of course
-record and verify completion of training
-document and report training completion %
- Assisting HR Generalist in Onboarding activities to include:
-creating new employee profiles
-managing new hire documents
-assist in the new hire orientation process
Assist in weekly payroll check disbursement
Learn the importance of employment law and compliance, especially regarding employment eligibility, confidentiality, proper maintenance of employee files, and forms management.
Other projects, as determined based on department needs and student interests
Must be obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Human Relations, Business, or a related field.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills.
• Must be able to communicate to all levels of the organization.
• Must be able to solve problems and issues.
• Must be detailed orientated.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office and SAP desired.
• Willingness and ability to do hands-on work when required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
