The Preventive Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on various types of production equipment throughout the facility. Primary role of the Preventive Maintenance Technician is to ensure the maintenance, repair, and PM of production equipment are repaired and fully functional to ensure production remains continuous. Technician will assist operators, Technicians, and Engineers with basic maintenance tasks and or complex troubleshooting as the subject matter expert. This will also include interfacing with CMMS SAP for PM work order releasing, processing and closing a solid foundation in manufacturing operations. PMs on the equipment and precision is a must for this position.
Job Requirements: CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
•Routine (planned) Maintenance
•Wire management, electronics installation
•Equipment modification/robustness improvements
•Unplanned (breakdown) maintenance
•Production line calls focus on standard equipment sets or mentored execution of more complex tasks
•Problem solving, utilizing 5 why methodology
•Improvement projects within area of expertise
•Mentoring TPM operators on problem solving and downtime resolution
•Will also be expected to operate AA equipment and all other production equipment as required to support operations
•Evaluate the impact of potential equipment modifications on safety machine performance and product quality
•Understanding of troubleshooting concepts ant, the role/importance or preventive maintenance
•Be Proactive and promote teamwork between the technicians and production operators
•Interface; (support, assist, negotiate, consult) with operators, peers, supervision and, management.
•Understands and complies with all procedures pertaining to a given work environment; designs improvements to the work environment
•Aid with troubleshooting and diagnose highly complex problems with processes and equipment and define, recommend and implement solutions upon request by appropriate persons
•Document equipment issues using the Autonomous Downtime Dispatch System (ADDS) and inform the Maintenance Supervisor
•Set an example for all in work ethics, skill level, application of said skills and communications
•Mechanically inclined and computer literate
•Participate in Team problem solving and/or method improvement activities
•Maintain a clean work area (includes production line, tool storage areas, office area and fire cabinets)
•Have constant respect for others. Have strong, clear, writing and verbal communication skills; includes communication with suppliers on equipment issues.
•Associates will be capable of performing complete preventive maintenance routines utilizing established checklists designed to return the equipment to the original state
•Actively participates in the completion of required preventive maintenance activities
•Actively preserve normal conditions of equipment and/or processes
•Performs simple and complex repairs on production equipment
•Respond quickly to abnormalities by repairing the machine
•Employs various problem-solving techniques (5 why, 8-D, Cause and effect, and Fishbone Diagrams, etc.) to drive problems to permanent corrective action
•Participates in teams Kaizen activities to ensure continuous improvement within the work cell
