About The Role

Deliver meaningful value adding analysis and recommendations which highlight key trends and issues in operational performance to support strategic goals and budget setting processes.

  • Provide high quality financial guidance to internal and external stakeholders based on commercial insight, market context and business strategy to support decision making and identify commercial opportunities

  • Working closely with the Head of Controlling, you will play a key role in transforming finance across the business.

  • Business Partner to Sales, Operations and Marketing teams to improve business performance and profitabilityForecasting & Budgeting:

  • Financial appraisals, modelling, budgeting and forecasting

  • Continuously challenging and improving current financial analysis and reporting

  • Process and review SAP BeX Cosimo forecasting input on a monthly basis, making sure all the numbers submitted are accurate, with focus on volume, mix and price

  • Attend monthly actual / forecast meetings with Sales Managers and Operations Managers, making sure precise collection / challenge of information to support actual and forecast resultsAnalysis / Reporting:

  • Variance analysis of actuals versus, last year, budget and forecast to support business decisions

  • Produce monthly full P/L actual and forecast reports with management commentary for business units

  • Oversee the timely and accurate management of all monthly actual and forecast reporting to CAG

  • Actively aim to streamline existing processes with focus on rebate development and optimising Continental’s varying systemsSystems:

  • Reconciliation of the SAP / Markis / Cosimo / CESAR / Datawarehouse systems to ensure all entries are consistent across the various modules

  • Follow up and correct any discrepancies identified in systems

  • Work with local and HQ finance and commercial operations teams to optimise systems and processesRebates:

  • Act as an authorised signatory for price corrections, rebate changes and rebate credits. Ensure proactive investigation of all submissions while adhering to timely process management

  • Manage multiple customer rebate credit notes requests with a clear focus on budget management and adhering to strict internal controls and sufficient back up is provided

  • Ensure the timely and accurate management of price and rebate changes

  • Ensure the timely and accurate management of fleet rebatesAd-hoc:-

  • Support on ad-hoc projects and undertake additional tasks where appropriate Job Requirements Skills, Behaviours and Experience

  • Studying CIMA or ACCA Part Qualified

  • Experience in Business Partnering / Commercial Finance

  • Experience in an FP&A environment dealing with variance analysis reporting

  • Intermediate excel skills e.g. Vlookups / sumif / “if” statements / pivot tables

  • Experience working to strict deadlines

  • Excellent planning and organisation skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Methodical thinker working well under pressure
